Several people complained that they did not get the calendar invite.  This has caused a lot of no-shows, followed by reschedules.  Where/how do I see who is invited to each meeting and if they have accepted or declined?  Calendly is linked to my Google calendar account, and all I see under invitees is myself as the organizer.  Under Event Details in GCAL I see the Invitee’s info.

Hey there, Brian! Great questions, here!

Firstly, check out our New User Guide - it will be very helpful, I am sure!

Secondly, there are a few things that could be going on here. Calendar Invitations are not compatible with all calendar types, which could cause some of your invitee’s issues. When this is the case an email confirmation is automatically sent instead, and they must add the calendar event manually. However, a more likely factor is on Google’s side.

Google Calendar added a new policy recently for users to help combat spam. This new policy impacts all third party scheduling tools, including Calendly.

Events set up for calendar invitations will only be added automatically if you have had previous interactions with your invitee. For an invitees first time booking, the calendar event will not be automatically added to their Google calendar. Instead, there will be a pop-up above the calendar invitation within the email, allowing the option to click "I know the sender."

Once your invitees select "I know the sender" and confirm "Yes" the event invitation, any additional event invitations from that email/sender will automatically appear within their Google calendar going forward.

Google Calendar users can change this setting within their Google account at any time by:

1. Click Settings on the top right hand side of your Google calendar.

2. Under General, select Event Settings.

3. Under Add invitations to my calendar, select From everyone.

To learn more about how to keep your meetings visible to your invitees, you can review our help center article here.

We know this is an inconvenience to you, and our product team is working hard to mitigate any impact to you. Please feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions and we will be more than happy to assist further!

Lastly, when an invitee books with you that is automatically an ‘acceptance’ and the confirmation is sent to you via email (to your login email address). Additionally, all bookings will appear under “scheduled events > upcoming” where you can click “details” for each, and each booking is pushed to your add to calendar set up on your Calendar Connection page, where you can view each booking and details as well. This will not impact in any way whether or not an invitee receives a calendar invitation. I hope this helps!
