Hello,

We use Calendly on our website for people to either A) schedule an appointment with a member of our sales team or 😎 sign up to be contacted by a representative to be contacted about our services. We currently only operate in select portions of our state, yet we receive submissions on both types of Calendly forms from all over the United States, that would be considered “Out of Territory” for us. Is there a way with Calendly to use routing to qualify a customer by the zipcode they enter when they fill out one of our forms so that they’re prompted with a message such as “Sorry, but you’re outside of our serviceable location at this time?”

Thank you in advance!

Hey there @Expo40388 -- great question!

Routing forms let you request information such as industry, company size, specific interests, etc. from website visitors and automatically direct them to a specific scheduling or web page based on their responses. It's great for screening and qualifying sales leads on a website or matching clients or students to the booking page of the right subject-matter expert based on their interests, program, or other criteria. You can read more about setting up routing forms, here!

You cannot set it up so that an invitee freely enters a zip code and then gets qualified or disqualified, because Calendly cannot detect in that manner if the zip code is within your range.

What I would suggest instead:

  1. Set up your routing form
  2. Set up a question that asks the invitee, “which zip code from the below list do you live in?” with a list of zip codes you service along with a, “none of these” option
  3. Set up routing logic that routes the invitees to your event type if they select a zip code, and logic that routes them to a custom message stating you’ll contact them at a later time if they do not live within range of a serviceable zip code

I hope this helps!
