I’m hoping to get some guidance on setting up a one-time event. I’d like to create a single event for April 17, from 1–3 PM, and I want to enable payment collection as part of the registration process. This is for a coaching workshop for about 10 people.

If I create an EVENT, it’s repetitive. I can’t make it a ONE-OFF.  It looks like I can take payments.

If I create a MEETING (it’s a one-off), but it won’t let me take payments.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,

You can create a "one-on-one event type". For your workshop, you should create a "group event"
As you’re doing events with multiple attendees, the group event would be best to accommodate multiple attendees (around 10 in your case).

FYI one-off Meetings don't support payment collection directly, a One-on-One or Group Event can be set up for a specific date and time (April 17, 1–3 PM) and can integrate payment options

Hope this helps!

I agree! You can read more about setting Date-Specific Hours over on our help center here: https://help.calendly.com/hc/en-us/articles/14074797893143-How-to-set-your-availability#01H7TGB3JT3TASHC98EAMT2X2Y

Hi there, I tried what you suggested and when I go to the booking page, it says “No times in April”. But I did specify April 17, 1-3 pm. What did I miss?

To set up a one-time paid event in Calendly, create a new event type, set it to 'One-off Meeting,' and integrate a payment processor like Stripe or PayPal under 'Collect Payments.' Then, define the event price and duration. Are you using the free or premium version of Calendly?

Hi @Bea108,

Often these ‘no available times’ messages are caused my another event already on your connected calendar during that day. If you go to your meetings tab, you can see all of the meetings Calendly has scheduled for you. Also, I would just take a peek directly at your connected calendar and make sure there isn’t a meeting between 1pm and 3pm (the time you’ve constricted Calendly for scheduling this event). If you are still having issues scheduling a meeting after that, reach back out here and we can keep the conversation going.

Hi all,

Thank you. I finally figured it out! Your support was super helpful.

Hi @Bea108

Would you mind sharing the steps you went through to make it work please? I have a similar requirement.

@WOracle - sure thing.

I followed the above steps. But it still didn’t work. Then I found that the times people could book were set to 30 minutes. I made that 3 hours on my event day.

Then I increased my Availability time to 4 hours (my event is 1-3 pm; I made my availability 1-4pm). Then finally it worked.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for the response @Bea108 .

I'll give it a swing.

Keep well
