Hi, I have a very similar question as this thread here:

So Calendly keeps on sending invites using my gmail (the Google calendar that is connected to Calendly), even if I use my company email to log into Calendly.

When I try to change the Google calendar that is connected to Calendly, I started out with connecting it to my company account. However, it keeps on redirecting it to my gmail calendar. That’s probably because I added my company email to my gmail account, to keep things in one place.

How can I change this? If I remove the synced Google calendar from Calendly, people are not even getting any meeting links at all, which is worse. Is there a work around?

Hi @Jem38532 - Thanks for reaching out!

So just to confirm the behavior here, whenever you try to connect your company calendar through this page: https://calendly.com/app/availability/calendar_settings

It instead automatically connects to your personal gmail account? One thing you can try is logging into Calendly from a different web browser, and trying those same steps, it could be Google autofilling the login in this case.

Otherwise, you can also try clearing the cache and cookies in Google directly, then try connecting the calendar. You can follow this article for the steps on doing this: How to Clear the Cache and Cookies in Your Web Browser

Let me know if either of these steps work!

Yes, that’s the correct behavior.

Those two steps didn’t work. I think that’s because Google automatically connects my gmail calendar to my company e-mail. Because I forward all company e-mails to the gmail account so it’s easier for me to manage because of the better UX.

Even if I sign in to here: https://accounts.google.com/signin (no calendly stuff yet), I sign in with my company e-mail, but it automatically redirects to the gmail account. Do you know any possible work around?

I’m okay if the calendly invite (the Google Meet link) is just sent via Calendly, but now it looks unprofessional if it’s sent via a gmail account. Thank you!

Hi @Jem38532 - Thanks for confirming this.

In this case, I’d recommend changing the notification type on the event so the notification comes from Calendly instead of your personal gmail. To change this, you’ll need to do it through the event settings here:

Select Notifications and Worfkflows
Select Edit next to Calendar Invitation

Once here, change to Email Confirmation
Here you can change the email that sends the notification

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi David, thank you! I don’t see any option for “Calendar Invitation” though. I’m only seeing:

  • Email confirmation
  • Email cancellation
  • Email reminders
  • Text reminders
  • Email follow-up

They’re already set to the No-reply address. Is there another way to access the “Calendar Invitation”?

Hi @Jem38532 - Thanks for reaching back out.

The Calendar Invitation/Email Confirmation editor are found in the same area, I forgot to mention that before, my apologies!

If they’re already set to the no-reply email address, they shouldn’t be receiving emails from your personal email at this point. Could you try creating a new test event to see if this is the case? If not, if you send a screenshot my way I can take a closer look.

Thank you!

Ah I think it’s solved now! Thank you David!

I think it might just take a bit more time for Calendly to load things up. Now it’s sending from Calendly’s email, which is better than a gmail. Thank you!😊
