Is there any way to hide attendee information on the created Google Calendar events? We have a shared calendar to make sure we don’t double-book our space, but because the calendar is shared, the calendar events cannot have attendee names or emails. I understand that you can edit the event title if you use calendar invitations, but then the attendee is added to the event, and their email will be visible to everyone on the calendar. We currently use email confirmations and delete the attendees’ names from the events, but it would be really preferable if we could just create events without their information attached in the first place.

Hi mdeehring!

Calendly is a tool that sits on top of your connected calendar. Calendly does not control the settings of your calendar. What you are describing is something that would be controlled from within your Google Calendar. Your event settings should appear the same as your calendar privacy settings. I’ll leave a resource from Google about this topic.

Change your event privacy settings

Everyone needs edit access to the calendar to add events, so they’re all going to be able to see the event details, and either way, the workspace administrator is going to be able to see the attendee details regardless of the calendar’s privacy settings. I should have made the title “is there any way to make events without attendee details” rather than burying it at the bottom of the original post, but again, we need to be able to make events that just don’t have the information on them in the first place.

Apologies mdeehring, Calendly doesn’t support this feature. Calendly does not manage your calendar privacy settings.
