Overview

Calendly’s browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari let you schedule faster by managing meetings, event types, and contacts from your browser toolbar. You can install the extension from Integrations & Apps, then use it across any tab to create meetings, share availability, and manage contacts without opening the web app.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Install the extension: In Calendly, go to Integrations & Apps and download the Calendly browser extension for your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari).
  2. Complete your browser’s setup: Follow the specific instructions for your browser to finish installation. Pin the Calendly icon so it’s always visible in your toolbar.
  3. Open the extension: Select the Calendly icon in your browser toolbar. The extension works on any tab once installed.
  4. Create new scheduling options: At the top of the extension, select + Create to make a new event type, one-off meeting, or meeting poll.
  5. Manage meetings from the Meetings tab:
    • Join, reschedule, or cancel upcoming meetings.
    • Select a meeting to view details like contact info and invitee responses.
    • For past meetings, mark a no-show or schedule a follow-up.
  6. Share availability from the Scheduling tab:
    • Book meeting: Instantly schedule a meeting.
    • Offer time slots in email: Select and share specific times.
    • Copy single-use link: Generate a one-time link that expires after it’s booked.
    • Copy link: Copy the standard booking link from any Event Type card.
    • Use the three dots on a card to edit the event type, add/manage an internal note, or favorite it to pin it to the top.
  7. Manage contacts from the Contacts tab:
    • View a contact’s meeting history.
    • Book meetings or share availability from their card.
    • Add new contacts manually.
  8. Adjust extension settings: In the extension, select the Calendly icon, then Settings to toggle Floating button, Keyword detection, Extension integrations, and Event Types view (to see other users’ event types).

Key Notes & Limitations

  • The extension integrates with Gmail, Gong, Google Calendar, and LinkedIn Messaging.
  • If you use Outlook on desktop, try the Calendly Outlook add-in for a similar experience.
  • By default, you only see your own event types in the Scheduling tab. To view others’ event types, enable Event Types view in Settings. This change helps improve performance and stability in the extension.
  • After installation, the extension is available on any tab; pin the icon for quick access.
  • IT admins can set up extensions for their organization using browser-specific admin tools.
