I have a 30 minute and 45 minute calendly that are set to a max meeting of 4 a day, yet they don’t read each other-- so I can have four 30 minutes and four 45 minute bookings and feel overwhelmed. Other days it is fine and more sparse. Is there a way to fix this?

Yes at this time, setting up the daily limit through the events directly is the only way to go about this, there is not a way to set an account wide limit on the events - my apologies! However, I do think this is a great idea, so I’ve forwarded it on to our product team to review. Hopefully we’ll be able to see this implemented in the future!
In the meantime, some users I’ve seen who want to do a 4 Events a Day limit will set it up for two 30 minutes and two 45 minute events in the same day. Then they adjust it manually if they’d like to have an additional 30/45 minute event. I know it isn’t the perfect solution, but hopefully we’ll see this in the future.
