Hi, I accidentally canceled an event with participants in it. Why isn’t there a warning button or a way to go back a rectify this? That was frustrating!

So, I “cloned” the event, changed the URL, as stated by this forum, BUT the work “clone” still comes up in each person’s confirmation text messages.

How do I make certain that the word “clone” is not seen. I’ve erased it everywhere, but it still comes through. I have refreshed many times and beta tested, but still nothing changes.

Please assist me.

Thank you

Hi @KundaFlow, sorry to hear that you ran into this!

For some context here, settings are saved at the time of booking, so if a user booked the event while (Clone) was in the event title, everyone else that signs up at that time will see the same name, regardless of the changes you make afterwards. This is intended to prevent invitees from receiving conflicting information when they sign up for a specific slot (Like if a location change happens or details about the event). In your case, all users who sign up at that original slot in the cloned event will be receiving reminders with (Clone) in the name. The only way to adjust this is to remove the wording from the event title, then cancel and rebook the event for the same time.

This will ensure users will receive the updated information, as well as any other updates you made to the event.

Let me know if you have any questions!
