This has my vote as well. We’re an accounting office and offer all different types of appointments and need to limit how many we do each week for several of them. Without the limitation we either can’t offer flexibility to our clients, or we risk being overbooked and unable to be productive in other areas of the business. We have this feature set in Acuity at the moment, but can’t move across to Calendly until this is an option, which is a shame as Calendly has more to offer in terms of other integrations that we can’t wait to use.
We also desperately need this feature. We are currently considering other alternatives almost exclusively because this feature is not available with Calendly.
We are a Financial Planning firm and here is our use case - We have 4 different types of meetings we hold with clients. For 3 of these meeting types the daily meeting limit works great and we are happy to hold as many of these each week as clients want to book.
However, 1 meeting type, client reviews, requires significant pre-work prior to the meeting for each client and to manage workload we need to limit how many of these meetings can be booked per week. At the moment we are running separate availabilities for review meetings compared to the other 3 meeting types and then manually blocking out time in the review availability once we’ve met the desired weekly limit.
Often, we’ll have multiple clients book over night, when we can’t manage this, and end up with more review meetings in a given week than desired and causing stress to our work flow and processes or needing to contact clients to reschedule. It’s not a good look telling clients the system should not have allowed them to book the meeting they did.
What we need is to be able to limit how many of each event type can he booked per week, it can’t just be a global limit across all meeting types.
We’d also like the ability to limit total meetings per day and per week globally across all event types. For example:
Global
Event type 1
- 5 meetings per week
- 2 meetings per day
Event type 2
- Unlimited meetings per week
- 2 meetings per day
etc…
Please, let us know how long until these features are available. What does the timeline look like?
Would also like to add ourselves to this list of users who could greatly use this feature. We are a custom window treatment retailer and we want our customers to have flexibility to book, but we need to limit the number of bookings per week so as not to overwork our sales team. We had been looking into other scheduling softwares for this very reason. Our team would much rather use calendly though so please make this a reality. Any notice on the status of this would be fantastic. Thanks so much!
I’m upvoting this too!
I am a life coach beginning my marketing and I want to market without fear of being inundated with too many sessions booked in. I want to know that I can deliver quality sessions for the people I book and also work in a way that’s sustainable. For me this looks like 1 session a week. The work around doesn’t work for me either as client flexibility is essential to them getting the most from the session
Hi, I came looking for some assistance with how I can limit a certain event type to once a week also, and I am a little disappointed to find that there is not great solution. I hope this is a feature that will be integrated soon!
Any update on if this is going to be a thing or not?
Hey everyone! We do not have any updates to this yet -- but we are pushing all of your feedback to our product team, and I can assure you -- this is absolutely one feature request they are very well aware of and looking into! As soon as we do have updates, y’all will be amongst the first to know. Promise!
Due to the lack of this feature, I started my trial with acuity to explore if I can do more with other options. The answer is: YES!
Thank you for all the efforts to make Calendly a good product but I think I’ll only pay for acuity because they have the feature I can not live without.
Another user here that wants this functionality, when can we expect this?
Hey, I would also like this! My use case: I use Calendly to schedule playtests for a game in development. We need time to respond to feedback before another playtest would be useful, so a maximum of 1 playtest a week is desired (right now we’re doing it manually). The time is flexible, which is why we wanted to do Calendly (to work with our volunteer playtesters), but we don’t want to do more than 1 a week.
I would also love a weekly limit feature.
PLEASE PLEASE!! I’m finding this thread while assessing your product for use in our organisation. We need to be able to limit some out-of-hours events to one per week (but not lock a day). In an ideal world also every second week.
I would like to request this as well. We are trying to switch from a competitor who has had this feature for a very long time. Please make it a priority!
I’m very much in support of this feature. my meeting produce work and if i have too many in a week i dont have the time to do the work, hence why i would love to limit my meeting to 4 a week for example. please get this feature developed. many thanks. Thom
I am leaving a comment to hopefully be brought back when this feature is implemented. I need it to block out the amount of photoshoots I can do per day. I need to have this feature across all event types.Surely with the amount of feedback this isn’t far away??
Adding my voice to this thread. I love Calendly, but this seems like such an obvious miss. I’m very surprised that it doesn’t already exist, or at least some kind of work around! I want to give the scheduler flexibility (that’s the whole point of using Calendly! flexibility without back-and-forth emails!), but I also am overwhelmed by the number of requests I get. I’m honestly not sure what to do and might need to switch to some other system
I’m also very much supporting this feature to have a weekly limit for number of meetings. We need it to offer our customers slots for SW installations, but have just a limited capacity for it. At the same time we want to offer them as many available times as possible, so a workaround to offer just limited slots to control the weekly limit doesn’t help unfortunately.
Upvoting this! My company is using this event as a “lunch and learn” for the office. We want to provide availability for vendors to book Tuesday, Wednesday OR Thursday but only want (x1) lunch and learn per week. Ideally, as soon as one slot is taken, the other availability that week will disappear forcing the Vendor to pick a date in the future. Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance!!
ONE Billion upvotes for this weekly limit feature.
Upvoting - Cal.com has had this feature for a very long time now. They have a $15/mo or $144/year Teams plan that looks very attractive at this point, and appear to have all the most important features, maybe more. I’m thinking about switch over to them if this doesn't get released soon. How can you not expedite this feature given all this feedback for a thread 9 months old? I’m sure there are older threads too requesting this feature.
This weekly limit caters to businesses who need maximum flexibility for their customers schedules but need to limit a number of appointments in a given week. My customers drop of items to be serviced, So if my max appointments are 10 per week, I can only divide this up based on how many customers I expect to see on a given day of the week, about 2-3 per day. But on a certain week I may have 6 customers needing to drop off on a Saturday. Setting the daily limit to 6 per day would mean that all my other days could be filled with 6 appointments too and I could potentially have 30-40 bookings in a week and I would have issues with storage and turnaround times.
I’d also like this feature, I offer ONE free call a week and once it’s gone it's gone, but Calendly isn’t allowing that functionality right now!
Would love a weekly limit feature! I work part-time as a tutor for a college consulting company (as do most of my co-workers). Many of us have full-time commitments in addition to tutoring and need to limit the number of meetings our students can book with us per week (not just per day or a certain time slot).
I am excited to share that we will be addressing this soon in an upcoming release.
We will be providing customers the ability to add additional limits to their event type by choosing a daily, weekly, or monthly limit per event type.
Daily limits will be expanded and named Max limits, and allow customers to add multiple limits at once!
If you have any more questions or feedback please feel free to reach out to me!
I also need this feature desparately.
