Are we able to opt out of updates?

Our organisation has a complex multi calendar set up used in multiple organisations and in most updates, we are thrown into chaos as the user experience is changed causing mass confusion with our customers. 

What may be seen as an improvement causes us hours of back end problem solving and work arounds.
