Browser Extension - Book Meeting Feature & Text Reminders

When utilizing the Book Meeting feature of the Chrome browser extension as discussed in the Schedule in real time with Calendly's extension post, we’ve noted that the text (SMS) reminder notifications do not send. This is presumably caused since the Book Meeting feature does not include the “Send text messages to” field that is found on the booking details webpage. Is there a method to include that field when utilizing the extension’s ‘Book Meeting’ feature such that text message reminders are sent?

    Hi Bill1232,

     

    Be sure your contact’s phone number is saved in contact details and you have a workflow set up to send a text reminder to invitees of that specific event type. If both of those boxes are checked then sms reminders should be automatic regardless of whether you are booking through the extension or otherwise.

    @Sean Marlin , thank you for the prompt response. I can confirm that:

    1. The contact’s phone number is saved in contact details, and
    2. A workflow is set up to send a text reminder to invitees of that specific event type

    However, despite that, SMS text reminders are not being sent when using the ‘Book mow’ feature through the [Chrome] extension. That said, booking an event through the live page does result in the desired behavior, so that is the workaround we’ll use. Let me know if you need any additional details to confirm if our observation is a bug that the dev team would like to address.
