Calendar sync: Can't use same calendar for "Check for conflicts" and "Add to calendar"

Calendar sync:
From the online tutorials it looks like I should be able to use the same calendar for "Check for conflicts" and "Add to calendar"

I have a Google Calendar I am trying to sync to.

I have disconnected the calendar multiple times to resync it as well, but it still doesn’t work.

Hi @Henderson47574 - Thanks for reaching out!

You should be able to edit which Calendar events are being added to by selecting Edit next to Check for conflicts/Add to calendar:

Are you not seeing one of the sub-calendars on this view? Are there different calendars appearing? Give this a try and let me know!

Thanks for getting back!

Seeing the sub calendars is normal, especially if they’re logged in your Google account. Based on your screenshot you’ve shared, it looks like you’re using the same calendar for both ‘Check for conflicts’ & ‘Add to calendar’. Is there another calendar you’re trying to use or a specific sub-calendar?

Let me know!

Is there a way for Calendly to sync events between calendars to help prevent double bookings, particularly if a meeting is scheduled outside of Calendly on one of my connected calendars?

Hi @IP_Overwatch Yes thats correct! Anytime you connect any of your Calendar’s, Calendly will check it for any busy events and mark them as conflicts in your schedule. With Calendly you can sync up to 6 different calendars at once with your account, so you can keep track of all your events. :)

Let me know if you have any questions!

@David I only want Calendly to reference 1 calendar. It is the same for both ‘Check for conflicts’ & ‘Add to calendar’. It is a Google sub-calendar and I can see all my other sub calendars too. I’ve tried so many things, but it won’t work.

Hi @Henderson47574  - Thanks for reaching back out.

Got it, in this case I’d recommend reaching out to our support team - They’ll be able to view your Calendly account and take a closer look at what might be going on.

The best way to contact them is by using the chat function by logging into your account and clicking the blue bubble here:

Otherwise, you can also email support@calendly.com and send screenshots of what you’re seeing. This also prevents you from having to post your information on a public form.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
