Up until recently synced Calendly meetings would show in my Outlook calendar in their allocated times, with a buffer simply showing as unallocated time. For example, two 1 hour meetings from 12pm would show up as two 50-minute meetings: the first starting at 12pm and finishing at 12:50pm, and the second starting at 1pm and finishing 1:50pm.

However these buffer times are now showing up in my Outlook calendar, in between these meetings (as if they were meetings themselves. The ‘meeting’ description provides the following information:

This is an automatic 10-minute buffer that was created after your Directioneering: 1:1 Coaching Session (Virtual) event. Edit or delete this buffer: https://calendly.com/app/scheduled_events/user/me?period=upcoming&uuid=6785dc0e-de44-4cda-9d92-f628853ddac0 Please note that editing this buffer time in this calendar will not sync changes back to Calendly. To make changes that will be reflected across all of your Calendars, make your edits in Calendly.

Is there a way I can stop them from showing in my Outlook calendar without losing the buffer? It simply clutters my calendar with unnecessary information.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Regards

I am also having this issue. Has an update been released that makes this happen?

I’m in the same boat. I book many 15-minutes per day and the two buffers on either side are making it challenging to get a sense of what I’m actually doing with my day. Hoping for a fix soon!

Hey @veryspeedy and @Coby62133 thanks for sharing this feedback! The team is working on an update to address this!

Happy to hear the team is working on this. These are just ‘visual noise’ on my calendar and confusing for my colleagues when viewing my calendar. Also hoping for a quick fix.

Me too! Wow- this is annoying on my calendar!! Please make it stop! I need the buffers but not the notification!

+1 to this. it’s super annoying / noisy in my calendar now. I turned it off and now foolishly have 3 meetings back to back. glad the team are looking into it.

Hey everyone,

Thank you all for sharing your feedback regarding buffers appearing on your connected calendars. As mentioned, the team was working to address this feedback and we’ve just released an update to hide buffers on external calendars until we make this feature optional.

Moving forward, buffers will continue to work as intended but will no longer appear on your calendar for newly scheduled events. However, events that were scheduled while buffers were visible will still display them, and these will need to be manually removed if you prefer not to see them.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. We appreciate your feedback and patience as we work to improve your Calendly availability experience. Thank you for being a customer!

Thanks for your prompt response!
