Hello Calendly,

I read around extensively and could not find an answer to this question. If I missed something and am replicating an often asked question I apologize in advance.

I have a Standard plan and want to do something I thought would be easy...however it certainly is not. :-(

I want to make a Group event with meeting time slots on specific calendar days. I’d like to preset those slots to accept varying numbers of participants. For example,

  • Three 30 minute slots in the morning that only accept one participant
  • One 1 Hr slot following those that accepts 5 participants
  • Multiple 30 minute slots following that one hour slot that only accept 1 participant

This seems like a legitimate usage case to me but as far as I can tell thus far, it is not possible. I’ll be so happy to be proven wrong. :-)

The only work around I can brainstorm at the moment is to have two different events and use one for the multiple participant time slots and the other for the single participant slots. The downside to this, however, is that now I have two different links that have to be shared instead of one. :-(

If this functionality really does not exist, I recommend it as a future feature enhancement. ;-)

Hi @Jason35416 - Thanks for reaching out, really appreciate the detailed post!

You’re assumptions are correct here, there is not currently a way to set multiple different invitee limits through the same event. The best way to go about this would be to offer this would be through two separate events to offer these times. However, there is a way to still only share one link in these cases:

  1. You can share your Calendly landing page that shows all events under your account (calendly.com/{YOUR LINK})
  2. Some users will create Routing Forms in these scenarios so that customers will fill out a form, then get routed to the booking page that fits their case best. You can read more on this here: Calendly Routing

In the meantime, I’ll get this sent over to our product team as feedback, hopefully we’ll see something like this in the future!

David,

Thank you for the reply. I hadn’t thought about the “Calendly landing page”. That is one potential nice solution for us for now...however, as time was pressing, we opted to simply provide two links which made sense as the meeting types are significantly different.

Regards

Jason
