Question

Conditional workflow trigger based on the options selected during scheduling a call

Hi,

I would like to know if there’s a way to do conditional triggering of workflows.

For example, let’s say, with the schedule call link, our clients can schedule either a demo call or a troubleshooting call using a dropdown or a radio button. But the resources that we would like to send to the lead and the customer are different. So I would like to know if there’s a way to conditionally trigger different emails with the appropriate resource based on the option selected?

Hi @nidhis!

Solving for this scenario is totally feasible, but actually requires taking a step back to right before the event booking. We have a pretty nifty feature called “Routing” that used conditional logic to help get invitees to the right event. More on it here: https://help.calendly.com/hc/en-us/articles/4418606043927-Getting-started-with-Routing-Forms

So in your scenario, you’d have 2 events (Demo and Troubleshooting) and each would have it’s own separate workflows. Customers would be routed to the right event through the Routing form.

Hope that helps!
