Question

“conflict” coming up on the email confirmation - there is no conflict

Hi! For months I’ve been getting a  “conflict:” on my own Google calendar with Calendly bookings - there is no conflict and I just ignore it and carry on.

Today I realised that a client is getting this message when the 24 hour reminder is sent! This is confusing for them, and unprofessional. How should this be fixed? Thanks in advance.

Hi @Sarahmard - Thanks for reaching out.

Just to confirm, does Google show the other event that it could be conflicting over? Does it match the title of your Calendly meeting? If you could send a screenshot over of what you’re seeing, I can take a closer look. :)

Hi David - I’ve tried every single permutation and removed every single calendar other than the main one. All I can now assume it that somehow my Gmail workspace and Calendly account are not playing well together and it’s reading as a conflict.

There’s a setting somewhere, but I don’t know what it is. And I’ve asked AI, followed every option.

The dark blue bar down the left hand side of every booking shows that it’s reading another calendar, and there isn’t one. The only bookings without a blue bar are ones input from other peoples’ calendars.

Any thoughts? Thanks for your help!

This usually happens when Calendly is detecting a hidden or blocked event on your Google Calendar (like “busy” time from another calendar you’re subscribed to). Even if you don’t see it, Google still marks it as a conflict.

Fix it by checking all connected calendars in Google, removing shared/hidden ones, then reconnect Google Calendar in Calendly to resync.

Hi @Sarahmard - Along with what Mark said, the only other thing I could think of is if a separate 3rd party is creating an event at the same time. This can happen with integrations like Hubspot or Salesforce, I’ve seen it happen with a couple other customers as well.

However, if you’re still seeing it after checking those two things, I’d recommend reaching out to our support team via chat, they’ll be able to start a screenshare with you and take a closer look at what might be going on! You can chat in 24/7 from the chat bubble within your account.

Let me know if you have any trouble getting in touch.

Thank you both @thismarkhohnson and @David - this has taken hours, I finally think the problem is Google Workspace after trying your suggestions: it’s seeing me and my business as 2 separate entities, as there’s a subdomain email involved.

So I’m grateful to you both, and still working out how to solve that one! Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
