Question

Connect a meeting poll to a group meeting

My company has meetings where the host and multiple invitees are required for the meeting to occur. I set up managed group meetings because I thought that would help with scheduling the meeting.

However, the group meeting allows any one of the invitees to schedule a meeting without including the others. So I am looking to connect the meeting poll feature with the managed group meeting. The intent is that a meeting (with that group meeting information and limitations) can be scheduled without re-typing the meeting information every time a poll is created.

Is there any way to set up a meeting poll using a previously-created meeting type, or a way to select a previously-created meeting type when setting up the meeting poll?

Hi @Clare36658 - Thanks for reaching out!

While there isn’t a way to create a template for the meeting poll, you can duplicate previous meeting polls as long as they have the created status:

So you could create one meeting poll and just duplicate it whenever you’d like to share a new event. You would still need to change the dates, but most of the other settings will remain the same.

Let me know if this works!

Hi David,

Will each standard user need to create and then duplicate the meeting poll? Or is it possible for one admin user to create and distribute a meeting poll template so that we don’t need to duplicate effort?

Each host will schedule the same type of event with multiple invitees. I’m looking to reduce the duplication of effort across all these meetings.

Thanks

In this case, if we’re using meetings polls, there is not a way for the admin user to create/duplicate on their behalf, each user would need to create them on their own.

I do think this is a good point of feedback, I’ll get this passed along to our team for the future!

Let me know if you have any other questions.
