Date-specific overrides in “availability” have been removed.
Instead you have created very odd functionality which is not at all helpful.
Please roll back so we have the calendar style that we used to be able to see.
Also in my other account where you have rolled out a new system, my previous date overrides have been completely removed.
There are a lot of instances where I need to make adjustments just to one day. That doesn’t mean it’s a “holiday” or “time off” and the way you are displaying these is not helpful.

Hi Sophie64060
We took a look and saw you connected with our Support peers. Hope they were able to share some knowledge that helps. Apologies for any inconvenience our recent updates may have caused you.
I have the same concern and issue as Sophie64060. I recently set an entire month of custom availability. I carve out very specific times where I can be available. Not only is the new user interface confusing and doesn’t seem to offer the same flexibility, but like Sophie64060, the carefully curated availability I set is now just completely overridden.
For future people: The functionality for custom availability has been moved (to a much worse location). See screenshots. Navigate to Event Types, click an Event Type, a side panel appears, in that side panel, if you scroll down, you will find the Custom Availability functionality. The big downside is that if you set Custom Availability, you now have to do it per Event Type. So, they’ve added a lot of unnecessary clicks in this user’s opinion.
Thanks Joel - completely agree. This is a massive stuff-up and backwards step by Calendly. It’s outrageous and I am very angry.
Sean - your support team could not help because the situation you created is a massive nuisance and a mess. You should roll back the updates you have made urgently.
This location is not really logic and I don't see it in the side panel??
And do we really need to do that now for EACH event? I've 8 different ones….
Okay found it, you need to click on EDIT first and than it pops up at the right side. Not logic at all….
There is no way we can copy it to all events now?
Okay see that they ve put a great explanation about it:
I’m so frustrated with this update, which is not useful at all. I’ve just spent an hour trying to find a solution until I found this conversation topic. My schedule was mostly based on setting custom availabilities on a daily basis since I’m a language teacher. Now I don’t know exactly what to do. I’ll consider migrating to another platform.
Make sure there is an Add to Calendar as well as a calendar being checked for conflicts.
I agree that this update is completely frustrating. I set custom availabilities often and now the calendar is gone and there is seemingly no way to either add or delete specific availability.
I need advice on how to be able to do this (add or delete specific availability on my calendar) or at the very least to voice my immense displeasure at this feature being taken away. This feature is the reason that I use calendly in the first place.
And now even if I go through all of the steps to create a “one off” meeting it is only letting me schedule half hour meetings even though my meetings need to be an hour. Worst. Update. Ever.
Yep, totally agree this is the worst update ever. The availability function was excellent before, ridiculous now, and I’m totally pissed off that my previous availability was scrapped without being notified. That creates embarrassing conversations with clients. I am also pissed off that when I’ve looked for help with this, help is very difficult to find. Without this chat I wouldn’t have known what was going on. Time is money, Calendly. You are wasting my time and my money. And to think we have to do this for each event type - sack the person who came up with this.
Please please please read these responses and allow people to use the previous calendar availability system! This update is really awful for gig workers where our schedules for availability can be different from day to day. It is a huge waste of my time to have to put in custom availability by event type. I have four event types now that I went ahead and deleted a couple. That still means four times the work and huge chance of double bookings if I accidentally forget to customize one event type for one day. In your conversion I’ve ended up with a meeting conflict because the times you pulled in were customized times for a certain day and yet it got applied to multiple weeks when I had less availability. Who would actually WANT different customized hours by EVENT type??? Yes I have multiple calendars linked but there are some calendars that CANNOT be visible to Calendly for contractual reasons. If this doesn’t change I’m going to be looking for a new platform very soon. This level of updating across event types versus one calendar view is not a good use of my time.
Okay see that they ve put a great explanation about it:
They can’t even spell customisation (or “customization” for Americans).
I also can’t work with the actual system of availabilities.
It’s very important, that everyone can use correct availabilities. I can’t imagine or believe that everyone uses always the same rhythm with the same times.
I can’t believe we’re supposed to set up custom availabilities for every single event. It’s such a pain in the ass, I’ve got 4 events and I have better things to do with my time…. I’m very upset with this update.
