Does a workflow also hit on already booked events?

On the 13th of December I made a new workflow. Does this workflow also take the desired action on events already booked at that time? Or only on new booked events?

The workflow events will take the desired action of events already booked as long as (1) you’ve set the workflows to impact that event type and (2) the trigger for that event hasn’t passed - for example, 24 hours before an event occurs.
