Hi @Alex10654 - Thanks for reaching out!
Calendly will show the user the time based on their IP address, although it sometimes can display the wrong time as you’ve seen.
However, Invitees control whether the available appointment slots are displayed in AM/PM or 24 hour format with this toggle found by clicking on the time zone at the bottom of the calendar:
This toggle is persistent so an invitee only needs to set it to their desired format once.
I’ll send your feedback over to our product team about being able to force am/pm or 24h time display on your booking pages.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks David!
Invitees ignore the Timezone/12h menu option, both because it’s way at the bottom on mobile (they don’t scroll that far, seeing the dates and clicking on them immediately), and because the 12h/24h is hidden within that menu, not visible to them at first glance without opening the menu.
So, yes it would make sense for me to be able to force the am/pm setting.
Is there e.g. a javascript function that I can call after the iframe finished loading on my end that would force that toggle? Or how is the toggle initiated?
Thanks!
Hi @Alex10654 - Had to do some digging on this one.
Unfortunately there is not a way to force it through Js at this time either, but I’ve passed this along in the feedback to the product team as well. My apologies here!
Completely understand where you’re coming from, that option is a bit hidden so its easy to miss when booking. One way I’ve seen users workaround this is by including an additional invitee question on the booking page to make sure customers double check if the time is being booked in am/pm or 24h - Its not fool proof but its one way to get around it.
I appreciate all the feedback - Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks! Well we’re all trying to reduce funnel friction, so adding an additional question, while it may make bookings more accurate, may also increase bounce rate. Would love your team to incorporate that feature, thanks.
