I was hoping this Meeting Poll feature would streamline my efforts to organize band rehearsals and gigs, but it’s causing me as much headache as it solves. Here are the main problems:

  1. I can’t remove someone who already voted from a poll. They decided later that they cannot attend, but now their votes have already been cast. So the totals that show the time slots with the most votes are now useless, and I have to manually go through all the time slots, figure out which ones they voted for, decrement those totals, and tally up which ones are the new top pics. PITA.
  2. people who modify their poll end up with a second entry. When they click the same link and go back in to “update” their choices, they end up with a second entry. I don’t know what they’re doing wrong, if anything. But NO ONE wants to use a tool like this. They just want to text me or email me, and I can’t deal with that. Using this link needs to be FRICTIONLESS, even for technophobes, and it’s not. So now I have duplicate entries under the same name, and I can’t tell which ones were their old ones, and again my totals are shot, and I have more headache than if I had used nothing at all.

I think I will be better off with a Google Sheet and ask people to put an X the time slots that work for them. Then all these problems will be solved.

Hey @Dave86787 -- thanks for your feedback. We really appreciate it!

I do want to let you know, regarding Meeting Polls

  1. You can absolutely remove a vote that’s already been cast! That’s gone over in the article linked, above, but here’s the info as well:
    Polling_-_remove_person.png
If an unwanted person votes in your poll, you can remove them before you schedule the meeting.
To do so, select Book Meeting Time. You'll see a list of invitees where you can select remove next to any invitee.
  2. If you’d like to allow invitees to change their votes:
In the instance you are looking to make changes to times offered on a meeting poll and would like to allow your invitees to change their votes, you will need to:

    1. Visit your Scheduled events Pending tab
    2. Select Edit Poll
    3. Change the dates/times offered
    4. Select Next
    5. Scroll down and select the checkbox "Notify participants and allow them to update their votes"
    6. Select Share meeting poll to ping your invitees to vote on the new times.

I hope you find this info helpful, but if not, we understand. I hope you have a good day, either way.

I have same question. If I created meeting poll and made a test vote under the name of Bob using email bob@bobjob.com (totally made up characters) then how can I remove this vote from the poll?

I understand that Dave asked just that and you did not answer for some reason. How to remove a test vote(r) from the poll?

Hi @Robert35543,

You can’t remove someone from the poll. You can only remove them from the meeting itself before it gets scheduled which is the information Kelsi provided. I realize that’s not the same thing at all in the overall intent, so we’ll be sure to provide this feedback to our product team. Having the ability to remove a vote from a poll makes a ton of sense.

This is not true. I clicked the option to allow people to update their responses and it absolutely did not allow them to. I’m now flooded with dozens of emails from people giving me their availability because Calendly says they already responded.
