I have a meeting type that I need to have a consultation meeting for beforehand, and once I know the details, I need to take a deposit for. 

Because we’re often already in the consultation, I tend to discuss available dates in that meeting, and it’s easier for me to select a time and just invite them on the spot. However, I’ve been told there’s no payment option available when I do it this way, and they can accept the meeting without paying the deposit. I tested it with an alternate email and this does seem to be the case.

Is this just not possible? Or is there a way that I’m missing? I checked Stripe and my integrations, it all seems to be working fine. I am also the host for both types of meetings (consultation and booking date).

Since you’ve already discussed the time and date beforehand, you can share a link to your booking page so they just need to enter their information, and pay. To do this, go to your own booking page, select a date and time, then when the details page appears, copy that link and send it to them:
 


This way, they can fill out their information, and pay for the event on the spot.

If you book the meeting on their behalf, there would not be a way for them to submit payment unless you sent them a Stripe Payment link directly. So I’d recommend just sending them the booking page so they can fill in their details and submit payment.
