Hi Calendly Community,

I'm setting up a booking system for my retaining wall service business, Venald and I’m looking to streamline consultation scheduling for potential clients. I'd love to hear your advice on the best practices for using Calendly in this context.

Specifically, I’d like to know:

  1. How to set up Calendly to allow clients to choose specific types of consultations (e.g., on-site vs. virtual).
  2. Any tips for integrating Calendly with my website to provide a seamless booking experience.
  3. Ideas for automated reminders and follow-ups to reduce no-shows and improve communication.

Thanks so much for your help!

Hey @Danish41023!

Welcome to Calendly - More than happy to help here. I’ve included some answers below that can help you get started!

  1. To allow your invitees to select specific types of consultations, we recommend setting up an event type for each! This way, your clients can more easily distinguish the event while booking. From there, you can share your public events page so they can choose either event! So, in your account, it would look something like this. (This article will walk you through the steps of setting up your event types: How to set up an event type)
  2. Yes of course! We have embed capabilities built in to the platform. This way, you can share specific events, or your public event page directly to your website, so your clients won’t need to be redirected elsewhere to book. This article from our help center includes all the information you need to get started - But let me know if you have any specific questions: How to embed and customize Calendly on your website

  3. We also have a feature that allow you to automate emails and texts around your meetings. These customizable reminders and follow-ups help reduce no-shows and improve your meeting experience with less work. This feature is called Workflows. This article will walk you through creating your first Workflow, and applying it to your events How to create a Workflow

Please take some time to look over that information and let us know if you have any questions - We’re also open to hear any ideas from anyone else on the community! 😄
