Hi,
I have two health studios at different locations. Both have 1 availability at a certain time.
For this, I created two event types per location since within the same event with different locations if one gets selected, the other cannot be selected either.
I came to know later that calendly doesn’t allow for different events (1-1 event types) to overlap.
Here is what I want:
- A person comes to the website. Selects 21st August at 9 a.m. from one event (location) and books the same. Another user comes, selects another event selects 21st August and still sees the option to select 9 a.m. Currently Calendly hides it and treats is as overlap. Please advise as to what is the best and fastest way forward for this.
Incase it’s to change the event into a group event, is there any way that I can simply change the event type that already exists?

Hi LongefitStudio!
You have two options here.
- If you have a Teams account you can set up two different calendars, as users, each linked to the respective locations. Then you would set up a Round Robin event type that shows all availability for all linked calendars. This is probably the cleanest way to do what you want.
- If you don’t have a Teams plan there is a workaround with the Book Over Meetings feature that is available on all accounts. Here you would set up two different event types, as you’ve described, representing availability at each location. In you availability settings, in each event type, find the Book Over Meetings feature and tell Calendly to ignore any meeting that matches the other event type. This solution will require a routing form because you are working with two different events. This creates a screening question that will route your invitees to the correct event type. You may be able to set this up in a more clever way than I can think of right now but I think your question will have to screen based on desired location. Alternatively, instead of a Routing Form, you could simply give your invitees two links and just explain if there is no time available on one link then to please use the other.
I’m leaving a few links below with more resources on double bookings, Teams Plan, and Round Robins
