How to default "All Day Event" in Outlook / Google Calendar to "BUSY"

My All Day Events created in Outlook for Mac were not showing up in Calendly and one of their CSRs just showed me how to mark an All Day Event as Busy in the Google online calendar.  That’s a manual two step process.

What I’m trying to find is how can I get Google Calendar to mark All Day Events to BUSY by default.  I can’t seem to find that info anywhere or I’m overlooking it.

Thanks!

Hi @Robert17468!

You aren’t overlooking a Google setting somewhere and it’s one that bugs me too. There is no way to change the default setting of an all-day event to busy. Even if you change a busy time bound event (ie, 7-8am) to all day, it jumps right back to ‘Free’. So unfortunately the two-step process is necessary.

Thanks Jillian, that’s sort of what I figured but it never hurts to ask…. I guess we can both be “bugged” about it together!  ~Robert
