Hi @OliverG,
Unfortunately at this time Calendly does not support iCloud synchronization. We are really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Is this permanent or temporary?
Hi @OliverG,
Unfortunately at this time Calendly does not support iCloud synchronization. We are really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
This is really sad.
Why lock out the potential of the whole potential apple community and user?
Hi @Damion18718, this is a change for the foreseeable future. If Calendly decides to go in another direction I will return here and update you.
That is a super bad desicion and also badly communicated. Today I got a mail message that my iCloud Calender was not conntected anymore to Calendly, I couln’t use my app specific password anymore. I then wanted to connect it again and wasn’t able to do so. A lot of clients use my links at the moment and now I have to deactivate all of my calendly events. I don’t know how you can do that like this, unbelievable!
Returning to this to give you an update. First we want to validate the frustration that comes with an unexpected change and recognize that while iCloud may no longer be available for new users, it was never our intention to remove the iCloud connection method from existing users.
We’ve been working internally and have found a workable resolution. You can now connect your iCloud calendar to Calendly using the following link:
www.calendly.com/app/personal/availability/connected_calendars/icloud/new
If you have any issues with the link, please clear your browser’s cache and cookies, and try again. Should you still experience any difficulties, don’t hesitate to reach out. You can return here or reach out to support directly as they can diagnose your issue live via chat → Contact Customer Support
Hi there, I’m still having issues with my icloud calendar being connected to calendly.
It was working normally a few days ago, but now I see the same issue as OP. Is there anything that can be done?
I started experiencing issues suddenly yesterday. I thought this must be a one-off glitch, but today same issues again, with clients writing to me not able to book sessions, having to do it manually and wasting time sending invoices. I had a look and I was shocked to read about the plan to discontinue iCloud. Of course this came with a promise that for existing users, it would be supported, but it doesn’t seem like it.
I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the iCloud Calendar using the link you provided above, and although I managed to reconnect it and everything seemingly looks in order, I’m still seeing the message “This calendar is currently unavailable” on the booking page.
The fact that iCloud is no longer properly supported was never communicated to me formally, and since I primarily use iCloud Calendar for all my work, this has put me in a very difficult situation, causing significant frustration for both myself and my clients, who are now unable to book sessions. This is incredibly stressful, and stunningly unprofessional.
This is a substantial change to a core feature of your service, and it should have been communicated far more clearly, much earlier, and with fair alternatives for paying users. I’ve been a devoted Calendly user and a real evangelist, bringing many other professionals onboard, and have relied on it for my work for years. However, this feels like a slap in the face and has seriously impacted my trust in your service.
I hope you are putting all your resources on addressing this as quickly as possible, because every minute counts and loses business to your users. If it cannot be resolved, I hope you communicate this promptly and clearly, and I believe that at the minimum a full refund of the annual subscription should be offered, allowing paying users the option to move to a different service.
Hi @veriensis, the issue you are describing is quite difficult to diagnose on a forum like this but I would suggest actually disconnecting and reconnecting. Usually when a calendar is “unavailable” it is actually a 503 error which is on the calendar’s side. That would put you in the territory of Apple Support. I’m sorry this has been stressful and I wish I had a simpler answer for you. If you are still having issues then you might want to reach out to our customer support team as they can diagnose your issue live via chat → Contact Customer Support
Hi, I logged out and reconnected, but the appointments set on calendly are not added to the calendar, or it doesn't read when I'm already busy and sets two or three appointments in the same slot, how can I resolve this?
Thank you
Truly unfortunate to find out Calendly no longer supports iCloud calendar. One of the primary reasons I looked at Calendly in the first place. I am a consultant and I am TRULY FRUSTRATED at Microsoft and Apple for not being able to work together to merge ANY calendar! How hard can this be!
I have spent an inordinate amount of time trying to make this work. I am a consultant who has to manage multiple calendars but still cannot merge my personal iCloud calendar with my business.
Considering what AI can do, why on earth can’t this be done!

Although I appreciate the gesture, this is currently just a frontend fix and will not change how scheduling works at all.
I unlinked a Google account in order to connect iCloud through the provided link, but not only none of the already scheduled events didn't migrate between them, new events are still being sent to Google calendar instead of iCloud. *Even way after unlinking it from my calendar syncs*
Please check with the backend guys, because for now it's just a fancy button that changes icons on the calendar sync page.
what alternatives to Calendly are people looking at?
This is unbelievable. This out-of-the-blue dysfunction is damaging whole businesses relying on the iCloud sync functionality. Calendly is worthless without that iCloud integration. We recently set up a large scale campaign with exclusive booking via calendly - it will simply end up in desaster if conflicting iCloud calendar events aren’t recognized. Restore functionality immediately or get sued many, many times.
Well this just sucks. After hearing supposedly good things about Calendly, I was looking forward to using it on my three websites for consulting appointments. But now I see that Calendly has told all us Apple users to essentially go take a hike.
Nice.
See ya later Calendly, and good luck with that approach to doing business.
FYI to all - I asked ChatGPT to find me the best alternatives, that must
meet all the following requirements -
1 - they can be integrated into a website,
2 - they have a free plan option that is not time-limited, and
3 - they also integrate into Apple iCal and Yahoo Calendar?
This is what I got back. Have yet to go through them, but I imagine that they are a good place to start.
Here are five alternative scheduling apps that meet your requirements:
-
Zoho Bookings
- Website Integration: Provides embeddable booking widgets for websites.
- Free Plan: Yes, with essential features for a single user.
- Apple iCal and Yahoo Integration: Integrates with Apple iCal; you can also use calendar links to sync with Yahoo.
-
SimplyBook.me
- Website Integration: Offers various website plugins, including embeddable booking pages.
- Free Plan: Includes a limited, non-expiring free tier.
- Apple iCal and Yahoo Integration: Provides calendar feed links that can be added to both Apple iCal and Yahoo.
-
10to8 Scheduling
- Website Integration: Embeddable booking widget available.
- Free Plan: Offers a generous free tier for small businesses.
- Apple iCal and Yahoo Integration: Syncs with iCal via a calendar feed, which can be added to Yahoo Calendar as well.
-
Setmore
- Website Integration: Customizable booking widget and embeddable on websites.
- Free Plan: Yes, supports a free version for individuals and small teams.
- Apple iCal and Yahoo Integration: Allows integration with iCal, and calendar feeds can be used to add events to Yahoo.
-
Appointlet
- Website Integration: Provides a link for direct scheduling and embeddable booking widgets.
- Free Plan: Free version is available.
- Apple iCal and Yahoo Integration: Syncs with iCal; events can be exported to Yahoo through a calendar link.
These apps are all excellent alternatives to Calendly, and each offers features specifically geared towards a range of business needs and scheduling options.
Hi @OliverG,
Unfortunately at this time Calendly does not support iCloud synchronization. We are really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
When or is this going to be fixed? I switched fro Acuity to Calendly because it some useful features, but is no use to be if it cannot operate with my primary calendar! Secondly why might my clients and myselff not be getting the text and email reminders that I set up in Calendly, again this is causing issues with my reputation.
Hi @Ian82837 - Sorry that you’re running into this!
At this time, iCloud will not be able to sync with Calendly directly - my apologies. But I’ll get your feedback over to our product team regarding this.
In regards to your email/text reminders - I recommend reaching out to our support team at support@calendly.com, they’ll be able to look into the specifics of why those reminders might not be sending. Just include the event details for the invitees you’d like to look into and they can handle it from there!
This is very unfortunate. I recently sold my wife (who mostly uses iCloud calendar) on getting a Calendly account for her work and iCloud calendar support is a deal breaker for her, I guess she will have to use one of your competitors.
