Does anyone know if there is a way to create a basic if...else type workflow. For example, for accepted candidates I want to automate a congratulations and welcome email, however for rejected candidates I want to inform them and say thank you.

In other words, unlike the typical automated workflow I do not want everyone I interview to receive the same email 7 days later.

At this time there is no way to automate an “if, else” rule with Workflows. All workflows you apply to an event type will apply to all invitees that book that event type.

What might interest you is our Calendly Routing Forms option!

You could: 

  • create two event types
  • set up different workflows for each event type
  • set up a routing form
  • set up rules for the routing that send invitees to the proper event type for booking
  • see your automations play out as desired!
