We've been dealing with the issue of users making multiple bookings per day using the same email address for over 1.5 years now. This has become a significant burden on our team, requiring a lot of manual work and taking up valuable time that could be better spent elsewhere.

What we need is a simple solution: the ability to set a booking limit per user based on their email address. We’ve been monitoring Calendly's updates, but this feature hasn't been implemented yet.

We need to take action. Could you confirm if Calendly plans to introduce this feature anytime soon? If not, can you recommend any integration platforms that would allow us to set up a custom solution for limiting bookings per user per day? Otherwise, we will need to reconsider our use of Calendly.

This is not something we can do right now, but it is within the scope of abuse prevention that we have and continue to explore. I don’t know when we’ll see added functionality, but it’s definitely needed and I’ll be sure to provide your feedback to Product. As for integrations, I’m trying to think if there is a way to do this through Zapier and perhaps your native calendar application since there is no ‘cancel event’ Calendly action available, but coming up a bit blank right now.

In the meantime, a few things that can help:

  • Leverage single use links when possible. It is extra work to generate them, but it will prevent the type of abuse you’re seeing right now.
  • If you have to have a widely open schedule, consider setting a maximum number of events per day and restricting how far out can be booked. Both of these will limit how many events you’re having to cancel.
  • Also, I see the word “learn” in your username which makes me think you’re in an education space. For some reason this is the space that sees the most abuse. We’ve had quite a few educators talk about the most effective method to fighting this event abuse is to set clear guidelines for booking and consequences for abuse. Not sure if that’s feasible in your scenario, but worth a mention!

We are also having a similar problem.  Each member of our team is on several scheduling events.  Each event is limited to two per day but there is no limit on the number of events a single person can attend.   We need to be able to limit the number of meetings per user per day so they can spend time completing tasks outside of sitting in meetings.
