Does this number the amount of events per Event type  in general or is it for every host? I mean if I put the limit at 4, would it be just 4 events top distributed between the different hosts or would it be 4 events top PER host?

Hi @Victoria55821! Good question and definitely a good thing to figure out.

Given the information you provided, is it fair to assume you’re using the “round robin” setting with 4 potential hosts? If so, the setting is per event type, so it limits the number of bookings per event type by day. Using your example, it would be 4 event top distributed between the different hosts. The reason being is that round robins are basically just 1-on-1 meetings with a collection of possible hosts, so the limiter is on the number of 1-on-1 meetings.

Hi Jillian!

Thank you so much for this, is exactly the answer I was looking for

Hi,

I had exactly the same question. To go further, I need to distribute 4 maximum event per day for the different hosts. With the limit of 4 events per day, I am affraid that one of the hosts get 8 events and another one just one. And with 6 hosts on my team, I could make 24 events per day instead 4 ! Is it possible ? Thanks

Hey there - thanks for posting and welcome to community! =)

So, the “maximum events per day” feature when applied to a Round Robin Event Type is applied to the event itself and not each host. This means that if you apply a max of 4 to the event, that will mean that regardless of which host gets what bookings, no more than 4 can be booked per day total. You can read more about event type settings below:

You will also want to pay attention to how you are having bookings distributed on the Round Robin ET:

Optimize for Availability

When invitees schedule an event set to optimize for availability, they will see the pooled availability of all the assigned team members. If any one team member is available, the corresponding time slot will be offered.

When more than one person is available for a particular time, Calendly assigns the meeting to the team member with the highest priority. You can set individuals' priority by filling in the stars next to their names while editing the event type. If team members have equal priority, the meeting will be assigned to the person who has been scheduled least recently for this event type.

Optimize for Equal Distribution

To have events assigned to team members evenly, optimize for equal distribution. Calendly will monitor how many events are distributed to each individual. If someone has been assigned too many meetings of this type, their availability will be hidden from the scheduling page until others catch up.

When optimizing for equal distribution, some time slots may not be offered if the only available team members have received too many meetings. Using our troubleshooting tool, you can see time slots that have been removed from the scheduling page due to unequal distribution.

Calendly will compare the number of meetings assigned to each person in the mutual time they have been assigned to the event type. I hope this helps!
