My needs “seem” simple enough but cant figure out how.where to start. I live stream funerals and work with about 30 funeral homes. Currently, a director fills out my form via Jotform, then Jotform automatically adds to my Google calendar. I could simply share my calendar with all these directors but I don't want them to see ANY details. In a perfect world, with calendly can I create something similar but have my display calendar ONLY show a date as unavailable if I am booked? I dont wish to use 2 systems (Google and calendaly) and be fine switching everything to Calendly if I can make my idea work.

Hi @HarborView04010!

First off, I just want to say thank you for providing that type of service. I went through losing several people over a short time span this summer and organized the celebrations of life for 2 of them. It was a wild time trying to figure out how to make sure it was accessible for everyone - regardless of where they were or their ability to get to the event. I leveraged some technology on my own, but had no idea this was a service out there and definitely didn’t have the capacity to figure out much at the moment.

Fortunately, Calendly can definitely help you with what you’re looking to do! In your case, you’d want to replace the Jotform with a Calendly event (for example, a 60 minute event accounting for setup and breakdown?). From there, you’d share the event with funeral home directors and they’d be able to see what time you had available and grab what works on their own. Once they select a time, you’ll both be notified and an event created subsequently blocking out availability on both sides. Also important to note that Calendly will not show any other details about other booked events and you can set a max number of bookings each day. And buffer time too! I’d take a look at the New User Guide to really get going.

As for not wanting to using 2 systems… I personally like to continue using Google Calendar in the mix, but we’ve got quite a few customers who use Calendly as their calendar. If this is the only way people are booking time with you and you are able to manage your hours, availability, etc. from Calendly, you’re good to go!
