Hi Calendly team - maybe this is more of a product request - but also a question.

I am a coach and I am sensitive about my calendar because it can be a puzzle to fit all my clients in.

So I like to offer my clients specific dates/time options for our sessions. I generally give them 2 options, reserve those times on my calendar, then they book using calendly..

I LOVE the Calendly integration with gmail - it has saved me a lot of time finding times to offer to my clients, reserving that time on my calendar, and sharing the booking link with them. (I used to do all of this manually and it was a drag.)

Right now - I can ONLY do this with a one-off meeting, meaning I have to manually set all the details of the meeting (time, name, booking questions) for each time I schedule a client. I also can’t use any of the workflows like reminder texts/emails.

QUESTION: is there a way to only offer select time options in an event type? Vs offering full days showing any availability in those days? (EX: You can only book Monday from 12-1:30 vs any 90 m availability I have on Monday)

REQUEST: if this isn’t possible, can it be added to the product roadmap? I LOVE the ability to offer only select windows of bookable times, but I feel like I am really missing out on the robust calendly features that make the service valuable like reminders, booking questions, payments etc.

Please let me know. Thanks so much!

Hi Liz!

Hmmm. I see exactly what you mean and I’ll be sure to let our Product team know, but in the interim I’ve sort of got a workaround. It’s not perfect and requires a little extra step or two!

If you click on the Gmail integration > Event Types > See All Event Types, it brings up the full up browser extension (if you have it installed I’d assume). From there (or alternatively directly from the browser extension), this gives you the option to select specific times on specific dates instead of just whole days in the Gmail integration. Once you’ve gone through and picked a few times, copy to clipboard and paste in your email. The very last thing to do is remove the “See all available times” sentence at the bottom and what you’re left with is a selection of specific dates and times.

Any chance that helps?

Hi Jillian - thanks for this workaround.

I’m trying it out - and a little confused. Once I open the full browser extension, do I select an event type? If yes, how do I go about selecting a few options of times within that event type? Do I have to click Create event? Share Event? Create a one-time link? Is there a way to see my calendar when I pick my times?

Or will this only still work with the one-off-meeting event type?

Thanks for any guidance here - I would LOVE to be able to use Event types (and workflows) to schedule these meetings, while also still only offering specific time options - at least 2 options.

Hi @StorytellingLiz!

Sorry about that. And also, it appears I might have actually suggested a feature that we’re exploring as a permanent feature but isn’t in primetime yet (us Calendly employees see the freshest beta code and I didn’t realize it was that!) so good news is we’re working on stuff to make your life much easier, but it’s not ready yet. 😭

However, in the meantime you can do exactly what I wad describing right from your Calendly web landing page. Click the “Share” button on your desired event type and then click “Add Times to Email”. This will bring up a screen that looks a lot like your booking page. Grab a few specific times and click “Continue”. Use the “Copy times to clipboard” button and be sure to remove that last sentence from the copy/paste that says “See all available times” as this would open up the full booking calendar.

I hope this helps and I am so sorry for the confusion.
