I have 2 customers registered for an upcoming event and had linked payments through PayPal. Both registrants have a “Payment Error” box above their names and I have received no payments in my PayPal account. How do I figure out where the error is and who to contact?

Firstly, make sure that you have successfully set up your PayPal integration by heading to your integration tab and checking under “PayPal.” You can read more about the steps here.

If your integration is all set up and you have selected to use “PayPal” under the payments section of your event type settings, this is likely due to missing steps in your PayPal account verification process. Because this error is coming directly from PayPal and is related to your connected PayPal account, we recommend reaching out to PayPal Support for clarification and to identify the next steps.

Hi there - I just had a client do my first payment via Calendly and the Paypal integration. I know the person, trust him, and he sent me the receipt. I have received no money, I can’t find anywhere to approve the payment - just empty, no activity in Paypal at all. Seems like the money just disappeared. 

I connected Paypal as described in calendly and put in my Paypal code, all seems fine and it’s still connected. 

What to do? I really have to find this payment. Thanks!


Hi again - just additional info to my post - I finally found the transaction in Calendly. It says that €180 was paid via Paypal and I can click to see transaction info. When I click, a Paypal window opens… and says this: 

We are not able to find this transaction id. Please check and try again later.

That’s slightly scare… I wonder what happened since the money was taken from my client’s account.

Hey there! I’m sorry to hear this is happening. Unfortunately, Calendly does not process these payments and once a payment has gone through (especially if your invitee has a receipt to prove this), that payment and the details of it will fall solely in the hands of PayPal. We cannot access any information on our end at all.

Again, I am truly sorry to hear this! The error you shared is coming directly from PayPal -- not Calendly! Please reach out to PayPal support here to go over this issue with them and they should be able to help!
