Recent Changes Made One-Use Links Much Worse to Manage

I’m really disappointed with the recent changes to link generation.

First, you removed the ability to delete or cancel generated links. That was a great feature — especially when you accidentally created a reusable (non–one-use) link and a client kept using it. Now there’s no way to stop unwanted bookings once a link is out there.

Second, the new process for generating one-use links is unnecessarily complicated. Previously, it took one simple click from the other links. Now, it opens a separate menu, adds extra options, and forces me to manually generate and copy it. It’s a pain for teams like mine that only use single-use links — not reusable ones.

The result? Clients can now book multiple meetings instantly before I can even react, and there’s no way to stop it. This workflow used to be smooth and efficient — now it’s frustrating and inefficient.

Please consider restoring the ability to:

  • Delete or cancel generated links, and

  • Quickly create one-use links (like before).

This change really hurts day-to-day usability.

Hi @WilliamAlphonso!

I think I responded to your post earlier on Reddit (or at least it looks super similar!), so instead of a super redundant reply I just wanted to acknowledge your post here and drop a link for any others who want to engage in the conversation. But as I stated there, noted and will definitely be passing along the feedback!

Hello,

Yeah, I also posted on Reddit as well. Thank you for your reply.

First, the Single‑use links tab from the Scheduling menu is useless unless we can filter by the status. I have well over 500 records there (and other users even more), which I’m not willing to go through it all 20 rows at a time to find all the unused links. To me, the only use this tab has would be to see which links weren’t used. All other information I can verify within my how calendar.

Also, turning off an event type is a no-go for us since they are all admin managed, and we are constantly using the same events over and over again. If I turn it off, then I need to recreate a new one.

As for the flow to create a singe-use link, I don’t get the point of the Options to change the configuration of the original event type. The Event Types are there to be preconfigured, the copy link or copy single-use link should not allow me to make any modification, especially if the event types are managed by admins (which I’m not).

Again, I really appreciate your response.

Best regards,

David

Hi @WilliamAlphonso - Really appreciate the feedback here.

I wanted to circle back to something you mentioned before:

First, you removed the ability to delete or cancel generated links. That was a great feature — especially when you accidentally created a reusable (non–one-use) link and a client kept using it. Now there’s no way to stop unwanted bookings once a link is out there.

This is actually a feature I don’t recall. Normally, you’re able to adjust the URL for events that are sent out to users under your Booking Page Options, this adjusts the reusable event link. Is this what you’re referring too?

However, for Shared Events, the option to change the link is not available, instead, it generates one for you automatically. (E.g calendly.com/d/cjsj-asd-afe/)

Is this the feature you were referring to? Or is there something separate from this? Let me know! Just want to make sure I’m representing your feedback well when I send it to our team. 🙂
