We are hoping to use Calendly for scheduling our candle pouring workshops in our retail store. More often than not, a couple signs up for two spots together or one friend registers for the group attending.

From what I gather, there is no solution to this right now. Is there a plan to implement a feature like that, that would allow people to register for multiple attendees at a time and have the quantity subtract from our available limit?

Hey there @Nova83053 - great questions! I am glad you posted this. Firstly, check out our New User Guide and our Company Admin Guide which will both be super helpful resources as you learn the Calendly ins and outs!

So! Right now there is no perfect way to do this. However, some workarounds might help.

Firstly - with a Group Event Type you can simply prompt the person signing up to fill out the booking page for each person that they wish to sign up for the event. I know this is less than desirable, but it works.

Secondly - with one-on-one event types you can toggle on an ability for the person booking to add guests when doing so. They enter multiple email addresses and all of those are invited to the one-on-one event type.

With this in mind - perhaps you can set up two event types. One for those that wish to sign up with a group, and one for those that wish to sign up individually. The event types would be “backwards” - you’d use a one-on-one for those that wish to sign up with a group so that they can add guests and sign up everyone at once. Then, you’d use a group event type for those that wish to sign up individually. Make sense?

You can also use routing to help make this more seamless. Routing forms let you request information such as industry, company size, specific interests, etc. from website visitors and automatically direct them to a specific scheduling or web page based on their responses. It's great for screening and qualifying sales leads on a website or matching clients or students to the booking page of the right subject-matter expert based on their interests, program, or other criteria. You can read more about setting up routing forms, here!

In your use case, you’d ask a question on the routing form, such as, “Do you plan to sign up for our candle pouring workshop as an individual or with a group?” and based on their response have them routed to the appropriate event type - avoiding user (invitee) errors!

I hope this helps! I will also be sure to mark your feedback for our product team to go over! It’s very valuable!

Thanks, Kelsi! I added a drop down so they can add the number attending in their party but just didn’t want to have to manually subtract from the available sign ups each time. I’m trying to streamline the process for my employees when I’m not there.

I will look into the routing option and see if that might be a better fit.

Thanks!
