Hello there,

I would like to remove a buffer from an existing meeting.

However, Calendly is not giving me any options to remove the buffer from existing meetings.

This support article on Calendly's website seems to indicate that we are allowed to remove buffers from existing meetings, but it seems like that support article is outdated because it no longer matches what I see when I log into Calendly’s website.

Is there any way to remove a buffer from an existing meeting?

Because that support article didn’t work for me, I went in and removed the buffers from this particular event type, but Calendly still shows the buffers attached to all of my events that have been scheduled with this event type.

Thank you!
Scott

Hi @ScottWorld - Thanks for reaching out.

Some of these changes we’re still working on rolling out to customers - Being able to remove buffers from scheduled meetings is one of these changes. Its being rolled out slowly to ensure its stable for all of our users.

In your case, the only way to remove buffers from a specific meeting is to do the following:

  1. Edit the event that it was scheduled through
  2. Temporarily remove the buffers from that event type
  3. Reschedule the meeting(s) you’d like to remove the buffer from
  4. Enable the buffers again.

Soon enough, this update will be rolled out to more and more users, allowing you to remove those buffers from pre-scheduled meetings.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Ah, thank you very much for that explanation. So it seems like very soon in the future, I’ll be able to remove buffers from scheduled meetings. That will be a very welcome addition! :)

Thanks for the instructions on how to remove buffers from scheduled meetings in the meantime.

Unfortunately, that won’t work for me, because I’ll need to remove the buffer by rescheduling somebody else’s meeting in order to reschedule the ACTUAL meeting that I want to reschedule… and I don’t want to confuse that “somebody else”.

So it doesn’t seem like there is a good solution for me at the moment… but I’m looking forward to this new feature, which will be very helpful!

Thank you!
Scott
