We are dealing with an increasing number of spam bookings that require secondary validation (e.g., verifying whether an email address is valid and active or texting a phone number to confirm it is real). We believe these are caused by either spam bots or known spam groups.

We are hoping to find a solution that can integrate a CAPTCHA-type tool (such as CleanTalk, ReCaptcha, etc.) into the Calendly call scheduling system. Since Calendly uses a JavaScript onclick popup form, we're unsure of our ability to address this issue, other than possibly injecting a CAPTCHA test before allowing the Calendly popup to be displayed. However, we have not yet found a solution that works.

We are aware of Calendly's spam reporting system, but whatever measures Calendly has in place to block spam bookings are either ineffective for us or too limited. We're still having to perform secondary validations for the spam bookings that continue to get through.

Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated! Without a fix, we may need to consider switching to another calendar system, as the volume of spam bookings has become a significant issue.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @smnornes,

It sounds like you are already aware of our help center advice around spam. It is really unfortunate that you continue to get malicious bookings, it must be very frustrating. Unfortunately we don’t have the kind of integration you are describing in your post. I’m going to mark this post as a feature request so that our product team will review it when considering updates. I’ll return here with any news I may have. I’m leaving a couple security related links below in case anyone else comes across this post looking for help.
