Unable to change profile details — "Server Error, Please Try Again Later"

Title sums it up. I’m trying to change my profile picture, country and timezone, yet I keep getting this error message.

I’ve tried clearing my cache and cookies as well as attempting the change from multiple devices, including one that’s never had a Calendly log in ever, all to be prompted with the same message, so the error is clearly either in my account or server-side.

Anyone else have the same issue, or ideally a solution?

Hey @David - Solved!

After trying your steps, it became clear that the profile picture of choice was the issue, as both the other two options and an alternative picture worked fine. It seems the format of the original file was incompatible, so I screenshotted it and said screenshot worked just fine as a new PFP.

Thanks for your help!

Hi @Juston TheRazor  - Sorry to hear this is going on!

Looks like you’ve already taken all of the basic steps here - Do you see any improvement with this today? If not, I’d recommend reaching out to our support team so they can take a deeper dive into the backend to see what might be going on. You can reach out to them via the chatbot here: https://help.calendly.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Let me know if you have any questions here!

Hey @David ! Thanks for the timely response.

I have not seen any improvement Im afraid — even tried again just now to no avail.

I’m also afraid that reaching out to the support team was the first thing I did, but it was rather unfruitful; I was given the above instructions, which I tried to no success, and in the time it took me to try them the chat ended.

Where should I go from here?

Hi @Juston TheRazor - Could you tell me about the specific changes you’re trying to make? I’d like to see if I can reproduce the error on my end as well. Any screenshots would be a massive help as well.

I can see if there is anything else I can try from my end, if not, starting a new chat with the support team would be the way to go.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hey @David - excuse the delay, I’ve been away from my PC.

Here’s a screenshot detailing the problem

Thanks for sending this back over! Couple things I want to check.

  • Can you try just updating the Country and Time Zone and saving the changes? Does it still produce the same error?
  • Can you also try just updating the profile picture? Same error? For reference, your profile picture avatars must be at least 90px x 90px and less than 5mb in size.
    • If you upload a different picture, does it show the same error?

Let me know if you get any different responses when you try those steps. Thanks!
