We’re currently facing a recurring issue with the Zoom and Calendly integration. We use Calendly to allow students to book sessions with our education experts, but in many cases, Zoom links are not being generated as expected.

Despite asking our experts to reintegrate Zoom with Calendly, the problem persists. As a result, we’re having to manually create and send Zoom links, which not only disrupts our internal data tracking but also significantly impacts the student experience.

This issue has been ongoing for some time, and although we’ve reported it before, no resolution has been provided. It’s becoming increasingly frustrating and is affecting our operations.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Hi @Nutsa Subeliani, that does sound like an awful. I’m sorry you’ve had those disruptions. A few things jump to mind.

  1. Are there multiple users sharing a single Zoom account? If so, this will cause an integration failure. Please make sure each Calendly user has a unique Zoom account.
  2. There has been some recent changes in Zoom’s API and security requirements, e.g., mandatory waiting rooms or passwords. There weren’t that many users affected by these changes but you could have been one of the unlucky few. More on that announcement here. Unfortunately, the remedy for this is for all of your users to disconnect and reconnect Zoom to their individual accounts. I know this is a headache but is the only solution as this was a problem from a Zoom updates. More on that process → Here
  3. Last, is the simplest. I’d ask your users to make sure the settings on their meeting types are set up correctly. Each event type should explicitly have Zoom set as the meeting location.

If these steps don’t help then I would suggest reaching out to Support as they can dive deeper and report any bugs you may have potentially found → support@calendly.com
