My Calendly account is correctly synced with my Google calendar. So if there is an event on Google calendar, it’d show unavailable in the Calendly booking page.

However, I did set up availability slots separately on Calendly, e.g., even if I don't have anything on my Google calendar, I want to set Friday as “unavailable” for meetings on my Calendly account.

It looks like the slots I set on Calendly are overridden by my Google Calendar and all Fridays show as available despite my setting.

Is this standard? Is there a workaround or do I have to block it on Google Calendar? Thanks.

Hi @Haixia23138,

Like you, I set my Fridays to unavailable (brain is just out of meeting power!) and I approach it in 2 different ways.

  1. I use my Calendly for external meetings, so I’ve adjusted my schedule and applied it to the correct events with Friday totally unavailable. If you look at any my events, you’ll see every day but Friday usually available. You can adjust your schedule here. More info can be found in this article: https://help.calendly.com/hc/en-us/articles/14074797893143-Calendly-Schedules
  2. If I want to unavailable both internally (peers book me through GCal) and externally (through Calendly), I block off Fridays in GCal with a busy event that runs across my entire working hours. This blocks both GCal and Calendly from showing me as available.

Hope this helps!

Thanks @jillian. My issue is with #1. Like you, I adjusted my Friday as unavailable in my Calendly. However, because I didn’t blog off Fridays in GCal, all Fridays in Calendly still show as available despite my block. See below:

@Haixia23138,

Can you double check that you applied your schedule the relevant event types? That’s usually the culprit here.

@jillian That is INDEED the culprit! Problem solved. Thank you so much!
