I dont need to start my subscription until 1 November but I need to share an event link in a news letter in October in preparation for the event. Is this possible?

Is it possible to select the start date of your subscription?

Hi @EHS28272!

Hmm. Good question. Do you need people to be able to start booking into it now or is this a situation where the newsletter needs to be prepared a few weeks in advance, but not sent yet?

Here’s the answers to all likely scenarios!

  • If the booking link is something other than a one-on-one (for example, group event) and needs to be live, you’d need to start your subscription to allow that.
  • If the booking link is a one-on-one, you could generate that event type in a free account now but you’re only able to have on event type active.
  • If the booking link needs to be prepared, but doesn’t need to be live yet you could figure out what the “slug” for the event is and put it in the newsletter. For a group event, it would be calendly.com/ username]/oname of event].

Hope this helps a bit!

Thank you Jillian,

Yes, I need to prepare the link for group bookings (2 people at a time) to go out in a newletter next week but the link wont be live until mid November therefore I want to avoid paying for an extra month.

So from what you have suggested and then looking at my previous links, I think I’ll use just our general link https://calendly.com/ehs-uniformshop and delete our old events so then only the new one I will add and open in November will appear. Or if the old events are turned off, will they not even appear on the customer screen?

Hmm. I do think sharing that general link is a better approach (and had just come here to suggest it!), but I am wondering about the best process to ensure customers come back and book in mid-November. Will you send out a reminder? Or would it be better to direct interested customers to a form to remind?

And yes, if old events are deleted, turned off, or marked secret they will not show on that general link page. Best way to check what others are seeing is to open up your link in another browser (not logged in) or an incognito window.

The customers will remember to come back and book. We will remind them via email. The link may even be active before the newsletter goes out in the end. I just needed to know the link for the proof.

Thank you for your help.
