Recurring Appointments!!!

I have seen so many people asking Calendly to prioritise being able to book recurring appointments. I was using Acuity through Squarespace and I do in fact like Calendly more for other reasons, but if there is a failure to create a solution so that practitioners can book reoccurring meetings, then I will have to go back to Squarespace which is unfortunate.

Yes thank you. So I have seen a lot of requests in the forum and I genuinely cannot believe you guys haven't added it yet. So in squarespace - which I did use seamlessly for years and loved but was recommended Calendly so I thought I would give it a go - booking recurring meetings was SUPER simple. You basically added the meeting, it asked if it was a recurring meeting you clicked YES. Then it asked either the date it finished or if you put “Weekly” you then specified how many weeks. This was fantastic because say a client had booked 8 sessions but I was going on holiday for 2 weeks in the middle of their time working with me, I was able to add 10 sessions - it provided me with the dates of these sessions and then, very easily I was able to X or delete the sessions when I was on holiday. I was SO simple and easy to use. I think Calendly is great and has so much going for it but honestly, unless it comes up with a similar function to this then I will be moving back to Squarespace. I’m not sure, as a booking system for professionals how you guys can operate without a repeat appointment function. It’s absolutely mad!!!

I have been asking Calendly to offer this feature for YEARS. It is so bonkers to me that this isn’t a thing yet. Every time I get an email with “what’s new” and this function isn’t part of it, a little part of me dies. I have several clients whom I see weekly and I have to hold a spot in my personal calendar on repeat (so nobody else books that spot) which I then delete every week so that I can then schedule them in the same spot each time. It’s madness! The workaround Calendly suggests does not offer clients a weekly email confirmation, etc. It’s so unprofessional. 

I just signed up for Acuity today and I’m in the (arduous) process of migrating my business over. It’s a shame because I really like almost everything else that Calendly offers. This, however, is a non-starter, and I feel like it has been falling on deaf ears.
