Overview

When you clone a Calendly event, the new event’s URL will automatically include “-clone” at the end of the original event name. You can update this URL to your preferred text by editing the event’s Booking Page Options.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the Cloned Event Go to your event in Calendly and select the cloned event you want to update.
  2. Go to Booking Page Options In the event editor, select More Options, then Booking Page Options, then choose Event Link.
  3. Update the URL Extension Edit the URL extension to your preferred text (replacing the one that includes “-clone”).
  4. Save Your Changes Select Save and close at the bottom of the screen to apply the new link.

Key Notes & Limitations

  • Changing the Event Link updates only the URL extension for that specific event, not other events.
  • The change will not apply unless you select Save and close after editing the URL extension.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why does my cloned event URL show “-clone”?
A: Cloned events initially inherit the original event’s URL with “-clone” appended. You can replace this by editing the Event Link in Booking Page Options and saving your changes.

Q: Will changing the Event Link affect other events?
A: No. Updating the Event Link only changes the URL for the specific event you edit.
