Hi Calendly developers,

The Scheduling API (POST /invitees) and Calendly webhooks are now available to Calendly users on the Free plan, with no paid plan required.

Previously, Free plan users received a 403 error when accessing these capabilities. With those restrictions removed, you can now build integrations, including AI agents and MCP-powered workflows, that support Calendly users on any plan.

What’s now available on the Free plan

• Scheduling API: Book meetings directly from your app or AI agent, without redirects or embeds. Requires scheduled_events:write. View guide.
• Webhooks: Subscribe to events like invitee.*, contact.*, and more to trigger workflows and keep your applications in sync. Requires webhooks:write. View guide.

Free plan and trial rate limits

• Create Event Invitee: 5 bookings per user per day
• All other API endpoints: 50 requests per user per minute

Paid plans retain higher limits. View rate limit details.

These changes take effect automatically, with no additional setup required. If you've previously restricted your integration to paid Calendly users, you may want to revisit those requirements.

Note: Some partner integrations, including Zapier, will continue to require a paid Calendly plan.
