Can anyone help me add my calendly Link into my LinkedIn featured section?

It’s not working. When attempting to, LinkedIn requests that I add a valid URL link.

Hi @Ayanda34740 - Thanks for reaching out!

There are some steps you can go over to do this in this article here: Add Calendly to your LinkedIn profile

Are you using your booking page link or your landing page to display all of your events? I’d also try removing the ‘www.’ at the beginning of the link to see if this works as well.

Let me know how this works!

Thanks for trying to help me, David!

I added it to the top of the profile and linked it to the “Book an Appointment.” button.

The trouble is that I am unable to link Calendly to the featured section.

I don’t have a landing page yet or a dedicated website.

I just have this booking Link:

Makes sense?

Hi @Ayanda34740 - Thanks for reaching back.

I tested this on my own account and was able to add it correctly - Are you including the “(< >)” in the link as well? If so, I would remove those. Try re-adding the link so its formatted as: calendly.com/YOUR-LINK/EVENT-LINK

Note- I also removed the link from your post, so its not added to a public forum. Let me know if this works!

Hi David

Just to be correct. Were you able to add the Link to your LinkedIn featured section?

It’s still not working, on my side💔  Could we explore alternate options to help me?

Maybe a video demonstration?

Hi @Ayanda34740 - Sorry to hear this is still causing issues for you - I’ve included some screenshots below as a video would show PII:

Go to feature tab, and select Add a link

First, I copied my link and added to the Featured Link Section
From here, it should recognize the link, and populate with a preview
Once you save it, it should add correctly

If you’re seeing an error when trying to add a link, I’d also try using a different web browser or an incognito window, as it could be a problem with the browser itself.

If you can share a screenshot of the error you’re seeing, it will help me dig into it from there.

Thanks, David

I saw your calendly URL ends with a “/1-1” at the end. How come?

Mine just ends with “/30min

I still get the same message:

Someone else on LinkedIn told me this, is it true?:

booking links don't work in the featured section.

My assumption is that they don't have a thumbnail as they don't take you to a real page.

That's why I have a call link at the top of my page and then the website link in the featured section.

My link ends with “/1-1” because I’ve changed it within the event settings.

I don’t think those are true as the option to add it worked for my profile and I was able to activate it. In this case, I would check the following:

  • If you paste the same link in your web browser, does it work?
  • If you login into linkedin from an incognito window, does the same error appear?
  • If neither work, the next step I would take is talking to Linkedin directly so they can check for any errors on their end. Like I said, the option to add it worked for me, so I’m wondering if there is something else going on here.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks, David!
