Calendly assigned an event to a host who had an Out of Office event in Google Calendar for the whole day. I checked the following:

  • Google’s Out of Office events don’t seem to have a free/busy configuration. I assume they are treated as Busy by default.

  • Our event type in Calendly doesn’t have any free/busy override for that host.

Is this the expected behavior?
Any workaround for these cases? I’m considering adding a separate all-day event explicitly marked as Busy instead.

Hi @JoseDElgado - Thanks for reaching out.

Out Of Office events do block off Calendly availability. I tested this from my end and I was able to see the expected result:

I would have that user double check their Calendar Connections page to ensure all the right sub-calendars are selected. Otherwise, you can also have them disconnect and reconnect their calendar to troubleshoot this as well.

Let me know if you have any questions!
