Hi @Mazen71530, that sounds frustrating. Sorry you’ve had some unexpected communications. We have a few different types of notifications so I’ll go through what to check.
- First thing to know is that there are a few different types of notifications. There are basic notifications, this is a Basic Notification sent automatically, and Workflow Notifications.
- For the Basic Notification - The only reason an invitee wouldn’t get this is because it is landing in a filter on their end.
- For Workflow Notifications - This can be an email or text so I would check that you have it set up as your preferred format. If you have texts set up, make sure that your invitees are entering their phone number. For privacy reasons, we can’t force them to do this. Also, check that the workflow is applied to the correct event type
. The email filter also applies to these. There is the potential that their email is filtering those messages. In this case, ask you invitees to label our messages ‘safe.’ If they do that once, all future emails should land in their inbox.
Hope that helps. If not, please let me if you still need help!
Thank you for the reply. I like to use the basic notification's email, because it has function for the invitees to reschedule or cancel their appointments.
The workflow email doesn't have confirmation email, they have a reminder email and confirmation text which doesn't include the function that invitees can reschedule or cancel.
Questions:
If I set up nothing on both basic and workflow notifications, the system still send out confirmation email automatically to the invitees?
If I set up on both workflow and basic notifications, it seems like the workflow notification takes over the basic notification. Is it correct?
Thank you for your assistance.
If you don’t set up anything, the Basic Notification will be sent but Workflow communications must be activated by you the host. Basic Notifications are default and can’t be turned on or off.
If you do set up Workflows, your invitees will still see the Basic Notification email generated by Calendly.
I hope that helps!
