Branding on calendar link

Is it possible to change the backdrop color of a link when it's shared on mobile? Currently, it appears as pink, but I’d like to update it to blue. However, I can’t seem to find an option to modify this in the branding settings.

HIi @Lydia37788 Thanks for reaching out.

Link previews are populated by the application that you’re using to send the message, Calendly does not have control over the link preview color.

However, I did some digging online and found a video that walks you through how to adjust them if you’re using IOS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfzUHpQH8hw

If you’re using a different app, they may have options to change the link preview as well - Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks for the clarification I didn’t realize that the link preview color is controlled by the app you’re sending the Calendly link in, not Calendly itself. It makes sense that it shows differently in mobile messages vs other apps now. Just curious if anyone’s found a reliable way to customize how it looks across different messaging platforms?

@Mattew50461 - the majority of messaging platforms generate the preview by looking at the og:image meta tag on the page. Calendly sets this property to your profile (or team page) picture. You can standardize the preview background color by uploading an image with a solid background color.

Since the image @Lydia37788 uploaded has a transparent background color the messaging app tries to extract a color from the image and set it as the background.

<meta property="og:image" content="https://d3v0px0pttie1i.cloudfront.net/uploads/branding/logo/888d2764-db81-4454-a418-3015c77a7791/opengraph_6e0f5033.png?source=opengraph">

@Lydia37788 - in your case, you could embed Calendly on your website and set the og:image property to an image with a solid blue background. This will ensure that the preview link is standardized.

Alternatively, you can upload a profile / team picture to Calendly that does not include a transparent background.
