Question

Calendar setting with same email

Hello,

I have a question about the standard plan. I have and use two different google calendars in my position (one for support and one for sales). I want to add both of them in my calendly and I saw that with the standard plan I can add 6 calendars.

So it’s just one person, but the calendars have different open slots for support and sales. Do I need to buy two seats to manage different hours and wait time?

Hi @Advice Team - Thanks for reaching out!

In your case, Calendly should work just fine! Calendly will be able to check all of your calendars for any conflicts, and mark those as busy for invitees who will schedule with you.

Along with that, you’ll be able to create different event types and edit them so they each have different working hours, wait time, and more!

Since you’re the only person using it, I think you’ll be fine with just one account.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Yeah, I think calendly is the right choice without doubt. Can I ask you another question?

We want to do automation for sales. If a user asks for contact, an email is automatically sent in which you can book a call with calendly. The email is sent by the system with a generic email (like [removed by moderator] ) but we have two sales that can be activated in the same way. Both have their own calendar with their own times, but for the user it is essentially indifferent who to talk to. To manage this case (a generic email, the activation of two calendars and the possibility of booking a call on one or the other person without distinction), what is the best calendly plan?

Hi @Advice Team ! Sounds like the team plan would be the best way to go here.

With the team plan, you can utilize Round Robin events that allow you to have multiple users connected to it at once. When a user opens the booking page, they’ll be able to select a date and time as normal - but Calendly will assign it to one of the hosts automatically. You can read more on this here: https://calendly.com/help/how-to-set-up-a-team-round-robin-event-type

Also on the teams plan is our Routing Forms feature. With Routing Forms, you can create a questionnaire that clients can fill out, then, based on their answers, can get routed to an event or website of your choice. You can read more about this here: https://calendly.com/help/how-to-create-a-routing-form

Let me know if this helps or if you have any questions!

Perfect. Thank you so much. This is what I was thinking.

Just a last question… I just need two seats, right? I have the generic sales account for communication and to access my calendly and then two calendars with their respective sales

Yes in your case I think two seats should be fine.

Just to be clear - While you can connect up to 6 calendars per account, you can only add events to one at a time. So there isn’t a way to connect specific events to specific calendars in one account.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Yes, that’s fine. In this case there’s just one event (the sales request) with two sales who have different calendars and there isn’t a preference between the two (the first who is free can have the call). The account and the automated email to book the call (with calendly link) will be managed by the sales generic email just so it’s easier for this

Thank you so much for your time and your answers. You were very precious
