I set up Calendly and GA

In GA I am seeing
# of invitee_meeting_scheduled is larger than # of invitee_submits_routing_form
how can this be possible because I thought someone has to submit the routing form first before a booking is confirmed am i mis-interpretating.

Hey @Yvonne71736 -

When you submit a routing form you are redirected to an event type URL that looks like the following -calendly.com/acmesales/30min?submission_uuid=123. The submission uuid in the URL is what links the booked event to that particular submission.

However, an invitee could visit the event type URL directly (calendly.com/acmesales/30min) without completing the routing form. If they scheduled an event using the URL directly then it would cause the analytics events in GA to have a mismatch between meeting scheduled and routing form submission.

Additionally, if you (or your team members) share your personal Calendly scheduling links this would also increase the meetings booked analytics without increasing the routing form submissions.

thanks for your reply! Currently we embedded the calendly inside our website - so they aren’t being directed to an external URL when booking.

good to know second if people share calendly links it would make sense that it affects what GA is collecting
