Calendly is asking for a text verification code from the invitee after i book someone, if i click skip and don't do the text verification, the workflows WONT WORK.  I depend on Calendly heavily and had two appointments today not get reminders and i was not able to run cause they forgot.  THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE and it is COSTING ME MONEY.

I have a question @David! Does this mean that this will happen every time we book on behalf of the client using that feature? Or is this the one-and-done option? Also, what about “book a follow-up” appointment? Surely that should count, as you are literally booking the same event type in that circumstance.

Thanks.

Hi @David can you confirm if the client will have to verify their phone number for each appointment booked? Or is it indeed a one-time verification and they will not have to do it any subsequent time? Just want to be clear on the parameters. Thanks!

Hi @Samantha30014 - In this case, consent is stored and reused for the same invitee phone number and event type for future bookings. So they won’t need to update it every single time. :)

We've got 10+ clients using Calendly to book meetings on behalf of their clients. Since there's been no movement from Calendly on the issue with this feature being disabled, we're assessing alternatives. Currently looking at Cal.com, Zcal and SavvyCal.

Has anyone here made the switch, or have any experience with these products? We'll be recommending one as standard to all clients going forward, so keen to get it right. We work in an industry where a significant portion of meetings are booked for clients rather than by them, so booking on someone's behalf is a core requirement, not an edge case.

Hi @CalUser - Really appreciate the feedback here!

I did want make sure and point out the new Book on Behalf flow we have built in to the product already. You can read all about it here: How to book meetings in real time

When booking a meeting from the desktop experience, if your event uses text notifications, the invitee's phone number is automatically filled in when it's available in the invitee's contact information. Otherwise, you can enter it manually.

After you book the meeting, your invitee will receive a text message with a confirmation link asking them to confirm before text notifications are sent. This consent should be saved so they won’t need to consent each time they book a meeting with you.

Let us know if you have any questions!

this is an absolutely terrible setting and has dramatically increased the no show rate for calls for my business. REMOVE IT!! I am planning on leaving calendly since this is a massive problem.
